SoilBoi: Worm Tunnel Puzzle ("the Game", "we", "us", "our") is a puzzle game for Android published by The Groove Salad, package name com.thegroovesalad.soilboi. You dig tunnels, route worms to their goals, and press Start to watch the run play out.

The short version: the Game itself collects nothing. It shows an occasional ad, and the ad system (Google AdMob) collects device identifiers to serve those ads. Buying "Remove ads" (a one-time purchase) ends both the ads and the ad data collection. Everything else — your progress, your settings — stays on your device.

1. Information the Game Collects

None. The Game has no accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no tracking of what you play or how you play it. There is no server of ours that receives anything from your device.

Your puzzle progress (levels completed, best results, settings such as sound and reduced motion, and the ads-removed flag) is saved only in the Game's private storage on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.

2. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The Game shows ads through Google AdMob in two places:

When an ad is requested, Google's SDK may collect and use device information to serve and measure ads: your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and network details, coarse location derived from the IP address, and ad-interaction data (such as which ads were shown and tapped). This data goes to Google, not to us — we never see it, store it, or have access to it.

How Google uses data from apps that use its services is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and Google's own privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.

Ads in the Game are configured for a general audience with a maximum ad content rating of PG.

3. Your Ad Choices and Consent

Where required by law (for example in the EEA and UK), a consent form is shown before any ad is requested, and you can decline personalized ads. If you decline, ads still appear but are non-personalized.

You can also limit ad tracking system-wide on Android: Settings → Google → Ads lets you delete or reset your advertising ID and opt out of ad personalization.

Finally, the "Remove ads" purchase (see below) turns ads off entirely. Once ads are off, the Game makes no ad requests, and AdMob's data collection within this Game stops.

4. Purchases (Google Play Billing)

The Game offers a single optional purchase: "Remove ads", a one-time purchase that permanently disables all ads. The transaction is processed entirely by Google Play. We never receive or store your payment card number, billing address, or any other financial details — those stay within Google's payment system, covered by Google's Privacy Policy.

On your device, the Game stores only a local "ads removed" flag. The purchase is tied to your Google account, so it survives reinstalls — use "Restore purchases" in the Game to bring it back on a new device.

5. Information We Do Not Collect

To be explicit about what the Game is not doing:

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Local save data stays on your device for as long as the Game is installed. Uninstalling the Game deletes it. We keep no copy — there is nothing for us to delete on any server.

Ad data collected by Google AdMob is held by Google under its own retention policies. To exercise rights over that data (access, deletion), use Google's tools at myadcenter.google.com or reset/delete your advertising ID in Android settings. If you contact us with a deletion request, we will point you to the right Google channel, since we hold no data ourselves.

7. Children's Privacy

The Game's target audience on Google Play is ages 13 and up, and it is not directed at children. Ads are capped at a PG content rating. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. If you are a parent or guardian with a concern, contact us at apps@thegroovesalad.com.

8. Security

Because the Game collects nothing and sends nothing to us, the main copy of your data is the save file on your own device, protected by Android's per-app storage sandbox. Ad and billing traffic to Google is encrypted in transit by Google's SDKs.

9. Changes to This Policy

If a future version of the Game changes any of the above — a new ad format, a new SDK, cloud saves, anything — this policy will be updated first and the "Last updated" date revised. Significant changes will be noted in the Game's store listing.
